The famous group OĐILA will give a concert in Belgrade on 22 September at 8.30 p.m. as part of a series of musical performances called ‘Atrium Sessions’ in the atrium of the Captain Miša’s Mansion, organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre (CEBEF). (This concert was originally scheduled for 8 September, but was postponed due to inclement weather.)

Tickets can be purchased online via the tickets.rs website, as well as at Ticket Vision outlets for a single price of 1,500 RSD.

Since its formation, Ođila has been performing Romani music recognized all over the world, relying on the tradition of the Romen Theatre from Moscow and the music from the legendary films ‘The Gypsy Camp Rolls into the Sky’, ‘My Sweet, Lovable Beast’ and the like. The media in Yugoslavia, as well as in many other countries, often announced Ođila as an authentic Gypsy band from Moscow, which is sufficient testimony to the perfection of the group's members in performing Roma music. From 1983 to 1990, the band released three albums (two Gold). Their third album featured music from the films in which they participated − either as musicians or actors. Among these films are ‘The Dark Side of the Sun’, ‘Drugi čovek’ (Second Man), ‘Osmi dan u nedelji’ (Eight Day of the Week) and others. In the same time frame, Ođila won the ‘Orfej’ Award for the best album as chosen by JRT (Yugoslav Radio Television), as well as the European award for the best song (‘Solniška’) at the Competition for the Best Radio Recording in Europe.

Ođila held concerts in all important halls of the region. The band gave notable performances in the Kolarac Endowment, as well as in the Maribor Theatre, as the first musical ensemble to perform in this theatre since its establishment. The ensemble represented Yugoslavia at the World Festival of Gypsy Music in London in 1988, where it received several recognitions and praises, even from the Gipsy Kings. Ođjila was popular not only throughout Europe, but also beyond it, all the way to the Far East (South Korea, Singapore).
