The Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF proudly presents the Belgrade Cello Fest, an international festival dedicated to the art of playing the cello. This year’s fifteenth edition of the Cello Fest includes four exceptional concert evenings and master classes for young musicians. The best Serbian musicians of all generations, along with renowned artists from around the world, will perform.
The first concert evening, on 25 November in the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall, is dedicated to marking the 40th anniversary of the first note of the celebrated Serbian cellist Dragan Đorđević 'Suzuki', who will be joined on stage by cellists Stefan Popov, Young-Chang Cho, and Sandra Belić, pianists Dušan Egerić and Vladimir Milošević, the Rubicon String Quartet and the St George Strings, as well as special guest Maksim Đorđević. The concert starts at 8 p.m.
The second evening in the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall, on 26 November, is dedicated to recitals by prominent European musicians: Swiss cellists David Pia and Denis Severin, Austrian cellist Anzél Gerber and pianist Evgeny Sinaiski. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
The final concert of talented young musicians, participants of the Cello Fest master classes, awaits us on 28 November at 7 p.m. in the Mokranjac Music School Hall. The last evening of the festival, on 29 November at 8 p.m. in the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall, is reserved for performances by distinguished cellists Atanas Krastev and Marko Miletić with the Faculty of Music String Orchestra, conducted by Ana Ćosović.
Tickets for the concerts on 25 and 26 November are on sale at the box office and via the Belgrade Philharmonic website, while admission to the concerts on 28 and 29 November is free.
