Robert Pešut – Magnifico, author of the ‘most expensive’ song in taverns, Pukni zoro, champion of the genre he dubbed Balkan-disco-schlager, will perform in Belgrade on April 9th at 9 p.m., at the Belgrade Youth Centre as part of the Urban Sessions concerts organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF.
With his band, which he says is in better shape than ever, Magnifico is preparing a show where he will present his rich, thirty-year music career.
‘We will sing a little, we will “get goosebumps” a little, laugh and shed a few tears and share joy and happiness with each other,’ said Magnifico, adding: ‘I feel privileged and happy to be able to perform in Belgrade.’
The Ljubljana native, who is considered one of the most intriguing musicians in Slovenia and the former Yugoslavia, managed to make his songs even a topic of discussion in the European Parliament, while hits such as Hir Aj Kam Hir Aj Go and Give Mi Mani released by Sony Music Entertainment became famous worldwide.
Magnifico's songs are an integral part not only of Balkan filmography – films and TV series such as ‘Black Sun’, ‘Montevideo, Bog te video!’, ‘Montevideo: Taste of a Dream’, ‘See You in Montevideo’ and ‘Hotel Belgrade’, but also of the popular American series ‘CSI Miami’ and the HBO Spanish series ‘Foodie Love’, Samo malo, Cici Mici and Divna have become classics with evergreen status.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the box office of the Belgrade Youth Centre, Ticket Vision outlets, as well as on the tickets.rs website.
