Keziah Jones held a concert in Belgrade on March 10, 2022, as part of the Musicology Sessions at Bitef Art Cafe in front of the large audience.
This was the first of two sold-out performances (the second is scheduled for March 11 at the same place) and it is one of the first concerts of foreign musicians in Belgrade in the last two years!
Keziah's concert attracted a lot of attention from the audience and was attended by many Belgrade's public life personalities, among whom were Marko Luis, Adriana Čortan, Damir Handanović, Seka Aleksić and others.
Keziah often points out that his role models are Fela Kuti, Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix. His status as a quality musician was confirmed with his first album ‘Blufunk Is a Fact’, which was a global success, led by the smash hit ‘Rhythm is Love’. Audiences around the world enjoy his performances and numerous hits, among which ‘Beautiful Emilie’, ‘Million Miles from Home’, ‘My Kinda Girl’ stand out. Originally from Nigeria, Keziah, with his unusual playing technique and fusing blues and funk, created a genre he calls ‘Blufunk’.
The concert was organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF.
