The unique musical spectacle at Ušće, ‘Musical Vision of the Balkans’, has been postponed due to bad weather from Friday, 2 September to Saturday, 3 September, when sunny and warm weather has been announced. The programme will start at 8 p.m., and the admission is free! The concert begins with the performance of Karl Orff's piece ‘Carmina burana’, followed by performances by world and regional stars.

 

‘Carmina burana’ was originally supposed to be performed at the Belgrade's Republic Square, but due to the great interest from the audience and the attractiveness of the event, it was added to the programme of the ‘Musical Vision of the Balkans’ concert, and it will all be held together at Ušće on Saturday, 3 September, from 8 p.m.

 

There will be several hundred performers on stage. Along with the choir and orchestra of the Serbian National Theatre and the ‘Stanislav Binički’ Art Ensemble, the conductor will be maestro Aleksandar Kojić, and the soloists are: soprano Marija Jelić, tenor Stevan Karanac and baritone Vasa Stajkić. This outdoor spectacle, as part of the ‘Classical Sessions’ programme of the Belgrade Festivals Centre (CEBEF), is organized by CEBEF in cooperation with the Serbian National Theatre and the ‘Stanislav Binički’ Art Ensemble.
